might be the best thing EVER! It’s environmentally-centered, which means tons of hikes, swimming each Friday, and just being really active! I’m so excited! It is RIGHT next to a yoga center as well, which means if I have enough energy, I can take classes after work. Biking 3 miles to work will also be good for me, so I’m thinking about starting that maybe next week or the week after.
Today I didn’t bike or run, but I did do many hikes to get my bearings of our surroundings! To be honest though, I’m really tired from today so I might just do some crunches and push-ups and call it a day.
I hope everyone is doing well :)
I walked two miles with my dogs. I was planning on shooting hoops, doing 30 min of hula hooping, starting the 100 pushups challenge, and doing some abs….buuuuut, after basketball and hula hooping for 10 minutes, my stomach muscle that I hurt during winter break started to pang! So now it’s definitely sore, which is poop, but I suppose it is just strengthening itself in necessary ways! (I once upon a time hula hooped for 50 minutes without stopping, which was last summer a few months after my appendectomy.)
I still feel like I was active today, though. I don’t want to push my muscles, which is something I find hard, as my eating disordered past wants me to push through all pain so that I can burn calories. I need to learn how to say NO! to that thinking, and I think I’m finally getting it :)
Tomorrow is my first day for my job! It’s training for being a day camp counselor. I’m nervous :/ Wish me luck!
I have never felt ‘too’ thin, I have never felt like my outward appearance reflected my inner turmoil, leading me to believe that I ‘failed’ my eating disorder (which is a very common disordered thought process, black & white thinking).
We are constantly battling a distorted image of ourselves….
I was so repulsed by my prom pictures that I untagged every single one of them and didn’t have any printed. I looked back at them a few months ago and I was startled to see that I wasn’t bulging, but looked thin. I hate this.

for pull up exercises! I think I’m going to do the hundred push-ups challenge to help get me there! http://hundredpushups.com/week1.html I’ve always wanted to do it, but I never actually made myself. SO HERE IT GOES! I’ll post again once I’ve done my workout! I can’t run today because it would not be a good idea to jump into things too vehemently, but I’ll find something else to do!
